Aorus X9 Review

The X9 is a relatively thin high end 17 inch laptop with dual NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1070 graphics cards. The 17.3 inch screen is a 4K IPS panel with a matte finish, which dulls the picture but cuts down reflections. Dual cards are rare in laptops and raise the price to luxury level, but the X9 delivers blistering performance.

Two GTX 1070S can easily run games at over 100 FPS in 1080P, and can even approach or hit 60FPS in 4K on some. Its keyboard is mechanical with deep key travel and per key lighting, but typing isn't especially satisfying.

Storage is fast and plentiful: our model has two 512GB NVME SSDS, but you can get it with one plus a 1TR HDD. Dual cards and a 4K screen meant just 1 hour of battery life on our test, but it's a strong desk bound system.
