This device shows nurses exactly where your veins are. AccuVein scans the body and projects a laser. The laser reveals any given part of a patient's vascular system. Here's how it works
The device makes use of near infrared light and this light exists outside of the visible spectrum, so you can't see it. By reflecting off the veins an accurate map is created. The full map is accessed by moving the laser.
The device is meant to help simplify any procedure, that relies on knowing exactly where a given vein is. The precision of AccuVein reduces the risk of making errors.
