Pen Diagnoses Cancer

Within 10 seconds, surgeons can tell if the tissue is cancerous. Letting them know on the spot which tissues to cut during surgery. According to scientists this is over 150x faster than existing technology. In tissue samplings of 253 patients, the pen proved to be more than 96% accurate. Starting in 2018, MasSpec is expected to be tested in surgeries.
