200 Artists Interested In Beautifying Warangal City

The Warangal urban district administration is taking fast paced steps in their efforts for beautification of Warangal city. District collector Amrapali Kata, who is keen on decorating the medians, junctions and walls of government office with paintings and 3D installation arts, called up on interested artists to come forward with their ideas.

At an interactive session held at the collector's office on Saturday, as many as 200 artists have turned up showing interest in contributing to this initiative. The collector expressed surprise over such a response and discussed some concepts with the artists and where to set them up The district administration is already taking the support of the Jawaharlal Nehru University of Fine Arts for setting up 3D installation arts.

"We intend to make these paintings reflective of the heritage of Warangal and also take up some creative ways of conducting awareness on several social issues. Once the artists come up with their concepts we will decide where to put them up. Interested artists must send their concepts and their personal detail along with phone number to by April 7 and register themselves."
