George Michael : 1963 - 2016

Pop singer George Michael has died aged 53. His legacy includes such Wham! hits as last Christmas, Club Tropicana, and Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go. He also had success as a solo artist. George had seven UK number one singles and sold more than 100 million albums.

His career spanned almost four decades. George's former bandmate from Wham!, Andrew Ridgeley tweeted that he was heartbroken by George's death. Other famous personalities that have reacted to the news on Twitter includes Ellen DeGeneres, James Carden and Spandau Ballet.
