South Korea's President Wants To Quit

Park Geun-Hye South Korean President

She's asked parliament to decide how she can give up power. Park Geun-Hye South Korean President said "I Will step down from my position according to the law once a way is formed, to pass on the administration in a stable manner that will also minimize political unrest, and any vacuum after a discussion between the ruling and opposition parties."

The announcement comes as Park battles an influence peddling scandal. The opposition Democratic Party say her offer to resign is a ploy to avoid being impeached. No South Korean president has failed to complete a single 5 year term since the democratic system was implemented in 1987.
