Telangana Inks MoU With Pharma Major J&J

The TS government has signed an MoU with global pharmaceutical giant Johnson and Johnson. IT minister K.T. Rama Rao, who is at present touring the US, signed the MoU, which is aimed at making Telangana a TB-free state, on Monday. Mr Rao also met key executives of pharma giants like Merck and Pfizer. He met J&J chairman Paul Stoffels and urged him to set up medical devices pharma manufacturing, innovation and J-Labs unit in Hyderabad. Mr Rao also met Merck executive vice-president and president of manufacturing, Sanat Chattopadhyay, and discussed setting up a centre of excellence in Telangana.
