Tourism To Get Boost In Warangal

The historic city of Warangal has several monuments like the Fort Warangal, Ramappa temple and several other structures and efforts will be made to preserve them, said collector Amrapali Kata.

"These structures keep the heritage of Warangal alive and need to be preserved for the future generations are several structures in the district that are in a neglected state. Immediate revival is required to stop further dam age to them. Soon DPRs will be prepared by officials and the works will be taken up," she said

Addressing tourism department officials on Wednesday, she said there are several pending and sanctioned works that need to be completed in the district on time. She asked the officials to review the works of the archaeology museum near Warangal fort and Kaloji kala kshetram at Balasamudram to ensure they are constructed on time.

"Apart from those, we are also making arrangements for boating at Dharmasagar and Waddepally lakes. There is also a possibility for developing eco tourism at Elkathurthy. Possibilities of setting up a theme park in the city, and a meditation centre in the hill rock area of Hanamkonda will also be explored," she said.
