Kohli Takes Centre Stage

Virat Kohli double century

Virat Kohli became the first Indian captain to score double centuries at home and abroad. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane set up a new record for the fourth wicket for India in Tests by adding 365 runs in Indian first innings on the second day day of the third and final test against New Zealand at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore on Sunday.

They erased the previous record of 353 runs between VVS Laxman and Sachin Tendulkar against Australia at Sydney in 2003-04. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane helped India post a formidable total of 557/5 against New Zealand.

Kohli's 211 was the third highest score by an Indian skipper after M.S Dhoni's 224 against Australia and Sachin Tendulkar's 217 against New Zealand.
