Chennai Food Bank To Feed 2,000 people

Chennai Food Bank

World Food Day may be one that is not known to many around the country unlike Valentine's Day. However, as a means to celebrate World Food Day as well as to ensure that the homeless get to eat a good nutritious meal, Food Bank is going on a massive cooking and feeding drive on Sunday. Food Bank, Chennai, a fledgling organisation, has been feeding the hungry on the streets of the metropolis by collecting home cooked food from homes and distributing them to the needy since the devastating floods last December. On the occasion of World Food Day, Food Bank has booked Vivekananda Vidyalaya School in Chromepet, where over 50 volunteers are going to take part in a massive cooking drive.
