Children Run Risk Of Backaches

A recent survey has found that 68% of school children under the age of 13 years may suffer from mild back pain, which can develop into chronic pain.  88% of children in the age group of 7 to 13 years carry more than 45 percent of their weight on their backs including art kit, taekwondo equipment, a swim bag, cricket kit every alternate day.

10% of a child's weight should be the max weight of bag. Nursery, kindergarten students should carry no schoolbag. State government provide appropriate lockers in schools.
