WhatsApp Updated Its Terms And Privacy Policy

WhatsApp's new terms with user discretion can allow data sharing with parent company Facebook. Facebook will use this to target relevant ads to us for every WhatsApp user.

In 2014, when Facebook acquired WhatsApp, their original business model of charging users a small fee for an Ad-free messaging service was discontinued. WhatsApp founder Jan Koum then claimed: "Here's what will change for you, our users"Nothing."

But now, WhatsApp wants to test ways for users to communicate with businesses that matter like: hearing about fraudulent bank transaction or getting notified about a delayed flight. Although Ads will be targeted, privacy groups play foul on WhatsApp.
