Floods threaten historic Australian city as cyclone strength winds and heavy rains move south to Tasmania. Floodwaters around the historic city of Launceston are peaking and nearly 3,000 residents have been evacuated. Waves of up to 17.5ft (5m) pounded the east coast over the weekend leading to 4 deaths and widespread property damage.
