Warangal To Become 100 Percent Literate

As part of the state formation day celebrations, the state government is taking up literacy mission to turn Warangal in 100 per cent literate districts by September 8, World Literacy Day. Collector Vakati Karuna said there are 3.20 lakh illiterate persons in the districts whom they intend to turn as literates as part of this mission. She said one volunteer was appointed for every five persons. She called upon all departments in the district from village to district level to come forward and make this mission a success by working in coordination with each other. About 60,000 volunteers were selected for this mission. Training programmes for the volunteers and resource persons are being conducted across the district as preparatory measure fo rthe mission.
