Ever so often, leafy greens contain a lot of dust particles and germs that won't go until multiple series of rinsing. So pull out a bunch of them and put them under a running tap for a couple of minutes. Repeat the process for about a couple of times. Cold water is best recommended.
Washing leafy vegetables in the kitchen sink is probably one of the best ways to remove impurities and grim. But ensure the sink is thoroughly cleansed before placing the vegetables. After which you could wash them with lukewarm water. Dry with paper towels.
Always remember to cut the stems of the leafy greens to preserve its freshness. Pick dry containers or ziplock bags to store them. Ensure the vegetables are dried well before putting them into the refrigerator.
