Green Orders Pushes Auto Firms Into Red

Automobile stocks fell by as much as three percent on Friday after the national green tribunal ordered that diesel run vehicles will not be registered in Delhi.

The Decision is expected to pull down an already dwindling demand for diesel vehicles. Diesel vehicles had seen higher demand prior to 2013 due to the price gap between petrol and diesel. The decision to stop fuel subsidy ended the advantage that diesel vehicles had over those run on petrol.
