2000 Years Old Jewish Ritual Bath Discovered

Israel Antiquities Authority workers stand outside an excavation site where a roughly 200 year old Jewish ritual bath, called a "mikveh", was discovered in a cave dating back to the Second Temple during the construction of a new kindergarten in Jerusalem on Wednesday. The walls of the mikveh were covered in ancient plaster bearing wall paintings and symbols, including a boat, palm tress, plants and inscriptions in Aramaic, and a cursive Herbrew script that was customary at the end of the Second Temple period. These were removed for preservation.
