Heavy rains threw normal life out of gear in the Mumbai city on Tuesday, leading to water logging in low lying areas and disrupting local services that hampered mobility of thousands in the morning rush hours.

The rain disrupted local train services and causing traffic havoc. The incessant rains claimed two lives in a wall collapse at Govandi on Monday evening. Apart from Mumbai, the neighboring Thane district received 143 mm rain in the last 24 hours.
