It is not for the first time that Nepal
is facing big quakes. Over 80 years prior to Tuesday’s quake, eastern Nepal
had an 8.1 temblor in 1934. Around 10,700 people were killed in Nepal
and neighboring India .
On April 25, a 7.9 earthquake struck kathmandu, killing more than 8,000 people.
The Nepalese government has acknowledged that it was overwhelmed by the scale
of the disaster which destroyed nearly 3,00,000 homes.
