Arctic Ice Melt Affects Indian Climate

Experts say that melting of Arctic ice and Himalayan glaciers will increase the sea level and directly effects the Indian rain pattern. Dr Satheesh C. Shenoy director of INCOIS says that the melting of Arctic ice will lead  to warming of the troposphere, which is the lowest portion of the Earth’s atmospheric systems.Troposphere could be acting as a bridge between the Arctic region and the Indian subcontinent to affect the monsoon.
