Walmart's Gigantic Vending Machines For Groceries

Walmart Gigantic Vending Machines

Walmart is developing giant grocery vending machines. Customers place their grocery order online beforehand, store employees then gather the groceries and load the kiosks. Customers pick up their order by entering a code and groceries show up in less than a minute.

The kiosk is open 24 hours a day and the service is free, but customers must spend at least $30 per order. Walmart is also testing machines that will vend other products. Walmart hopes to seamlessly integrate online and offline services and leverage its network of stores to compete with Amazon. Will semi automated systems change the way we go shopping?
