Microsoft $999 Laptop

Microsoft Corp introduced a $999 laptop on 2nd may, as bid to steal Apple Inc.'s college student customers. The device comes in four colours gold, platinum, blue, and burgundy and ditches a metal area around the keyboard for soft microfiber.

The new device is Microsoft's first classic clamshell laptop. More expensive configurations are also available with a faster Intel Core i7 chip, 1 TB of storage and as much as 16GB of RAM. Microsoft has started pre orders for the Surface Laptop since its launch, the shipping will start on June 16th.
