Croatian Town Spreads Easter Joy

Amateur artists are painting the 6.56ft (2m) eggs in local style of naive art before they're sent to European cities as gifts. The project is in its 10th year and has seen 80 eggs sent around the world.

Darko Koren a Country prefect said "There is almost no European destination or a country capital where one of our painted eggs hasn't been put on display, Budapest, Prague, Vienna, Paris."

It takes 4 artists 4-5 days to paint a single egg made of polyester. This year the eggs are bound for Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Town residents can view them at a public exhibition
