China has just built the world's biggest solar farm. The site has 4 million solar panels and covers 27 square kilometres. it cost $890 million to build the plant high on the Tibetan plateau. The Longyangxia Dam Solar Park can produce enough energy to power 200,000 homes.

China has ambitious to become the world's largest supplier of renewable energy. Right now, China is the world's biggest producer of polluting greenhouse gases. By 2020 China aims to be producing 110 gigawatts of solar power.

China is committed to reducing energy from fossil fuels to 20% of its total demand. China's energy agency has pledged to spend $360 billion on renewable energy sources by 2020.
