New Organ Discovered In Human Body - Mesentery

Organ Human Body Mesentery

Scientists just discovered a new organ in the human body. It's called the Mesentery discovered by Irish Professor Calvin Coffey which connects your abdomen to your intestines to keep your digestive system in place.

It's already been added to gray's anatomy as the 79th organ. Previously thought to be a group of structures, it has now been classified as one continuous organ.

It could even be the basis for a whole new field of science. Researchers think understanding the mesentery might be the key to treating some abdominal and intestinal conditions. Now you know where that gut feeling might be coming from.
