Many Killed In Thai Floods

Thai Floods

Widespread flooding in southern Thailand has killed over 20 people. Officials say 330,000+ households have been affected. Floods have also hit rubber production and shut down infrastructure. Southern Thailand is a major rubber producing area.

Officials say floods will impact rubber prices as demand is set to exceed supply. Thailand's wet season usually ends in late November and heavy rain and flooding are rare in January.
