Eco Friendly House In Kerala

Eco Friendly House

A house where the walls literally breathe! Introducing 'Nanavu': Asha and Hari's Eco-friendly house in Kerala. It was built in 2010 with just Rs 4 lakhs. The walls are made of mud which allows the air to pass through. And if that's not all using only 4 units of electricity every month, their electricity bill is as low as Rs 20.

Eco Friendly House

Instead of a fridge, they use an earthen pot surrounded by wet mud. Instead of a gas connection, there is biogas made from the waste of the house. But the house is furnished with urban amenities which run on solar energy. In the times of global warming, Asha and Hari are leading by example!
