90% Renewables In Germany

Renewables In Germany

Germany has set an example for the world by producing about 90% of its electricity using just renewable energy sources through solar, wind, hydro and biomass plants. Driving the energy prices into the negative at one point, it aims to move to using 100% renewable energy by 2050.

This is owing to country's massive 'Energiewende' program aimed at reducing germany's dependence on fossil fuels.
