LinkedIn Just Got Easier For Microsoft

Microsoft LinkedIn Deal

This is a big deal for Microsoft: it's Linkedln purchase was finally approved. The $26.2 billion deal will merge LinkedIn with Microsoft products like Outlook, office, and Windows action center. For example, creating a resume in Word will prompt users to directly update their LinkedIn page.

Enterprise LinkedIn lookup will also be getting a boost from Active Directory, making employee connection a snap. It's not all positive, though: Microsoft plans to extend sponsored content using LinkedIn as a platform. That could mean more ads in more places.
