Beard Growing Reaches New Extremes

Beard of Bees

This Egyptian man is creating a 'Beard of Bees'. he wants to educate Egyptians on the usefulness of bees and show that the honey producing insects aren't aggressive. The stunt isn't for the faint hearted.

Mohamed Hagras a Beekeeper said, "Firstly, I have to wear appropriate clothing to protect myself from bee stings. Also this is for the protection of the bees, because a bee that stings dies and I don't want to kill the bees."

Hagras extracts hormones from queen bees after they die and uses them to attract bees from the same hive. He says that bees are also medicinal and many people come to his farm to get stung in efforts to cure various diseases.
