Zimbabwe Launches New Currency

Authorities hope that issuing $10 million of 'bond notes' will ease chronic cash shortages against a backdrop of slowing economic growth. But critics believe it'll erase their savings. The announcement has fueled large protests against President Robert Mugabe and many fear the move may bring back the inflation ravaged Zimbabwe dollar.
