Norway Commits To Zero Deforestation

Norway Zero Deforestation

Norway pledged to be Carbon Neutral by 2030. Norwegian parliament will ensure public procurements doesn't lead to deforestation. Norway is the first country in the world to commit to zero deforestation in its public procurement.

The Rainforest Foundation Norway has worked for years to secure a zero deforestation commitment from the Norwegian government. The production of beef, palm oil soy, and wood products in just 7 countries caused 40% deforestation and 44% carbon emissions. Regulation on the purchase of such products will help save the rainforests. Norway has shown the way to save biodiversity to the world.
