Muskin - Leather Made From Mushrooms

Muskin Leather Mushrooms

This cloth made of mushroom and has leather like qualities. Muskin is a natural mushroom skin material extracted from mushroom caps.

It is processed like animal leather but the tanning process is fully natural and non toxic making it ideal for use in items that are in direct contact with the skin such as shoe insoles and watch straps. Muskin resembles leather and suede but it is much softer, breathable, and water repellent. Lab tests show that the material stops bacterial proliferation and has strong moisture absorption capacity. Muskin is 100% biodegradable vegetal leather. It can be used instead of animal leather.
