Every day in India a huge amount of food lands on the garbage heap. In the monsoon season fruits and vegetables have to be sold. The day they are harvested nearly half of all produce rots before it reaches the consumer.

Then what's going wrong?

Storing the produce is the biggest problem and their is either a shortage of storage units or rents are unaffordable. Harsh weather and a severe space crunch are making the problem worse. Lack of storage is causing a drastic rise in food costs. With over 30% of the population is below the poverty level.
