This is Chicago Skyline, An aerial cable car system that may someday run along the chicago river. Each car could hold up to 12 people carrying them 1.4 miles between downtown Chicago and the navy pier. Moving along the waterfront at around 9 MPH.

"Skyline" was designed as part of a study to bring more tourists into Chicago. By Davis Brody Bond and marks Barfield Architects. Panoramic views inside would give 360 degrees views of the city. Skyline could move up to 3,000 people an hour.
