North India Still Feels Chill


UP and Rajasthan continued to be cold as fog hit road, rail traffic.


The Cool Path - People walk on a snow covered road after fresh snowfall in Shimla on Tuesday. Shimla and high altitude tribal areas experienced a fresh spell of moderate snowfall and lower hills got rain.

Kashmir valley got a much needed relief from the cold wave after the sun came out, but temperatures remained below freezing point. Punjab, Haryana experienced cold weather, and the fog hit rail and traffic in the region. 51 trains including premier services were running late by several hours due to bad weather.

Humidity Levels oscillated between 97 and 80 percent. The airport authorities said that there was no cancellation or diversion of flights but one flight was delayed for a short while due to fog.
